Preparing siblings for the new baby?
I have a 6 year old daughter and am due to have a baby boy in 10 days. Any other moms have any tips on how to prepare her ahead of time so she doesn’t feel like the baby is taking her place?
I’ve already told her we will need his big sister to help us lots, and have kept her involved by bringing her to all of our ultrasounds, gave her her own pages to make in my pregnancy scrapbook, and letting her open the gifts at the baby shower ect. Just wondered what worked for other moms with baby #2?
I would get her a present FROM the new baby to her to thank her for letting the new baby in the family. That will butter her up. You can make that present a new baby doll so that she can do to her baby what you are doing to yours.
