baby shower planning checklists
Checklist before having kids part 2?
I really appreciate everything you all have said so far. I am just having such an urge to have kids!! My husbands sister just had a baby shower a few weeks ago and when we went shopping together, we both stood at a crib at the store and our hearts just ached to have a baby.
Like I said, we are waiting til march 30 to see if he makes it into the Fire Dept. He has a really good chance at it so I am keeping my figers crossed. I just opened up my own salon, so I am wanting to take a vacation before he makes it and has no vacation for a year. The salon is picking up but I live in a dream world thinking I have to make “x” amount of money before being a mom.
I just pray that eveyrthing works out with our plans in the next month or so. Have any of you started a family when times were really tough, but then things worked out fine? I always wonder if we’ll ever be able to have our own house one day and not an apartment. Thanks for all of your advice! it means a lot to me!
My husband and I got pregnant at what would seem the least opportune time possible. I was the sole provider while my husband was going to school, but I was injured in my job. In one fell swoop, I lost my profession and he lost his chance for a degree. And we found out we were going to have a baby!
Locally, we had no opportunities in sight, so we packed up and moved half way across the country for a business venture with a friend. But the business floundered.
In spite of a very hard year with very little income, God met all our needs. We never went hungry and we paid every bill on time. We had everything we needed for our daughter.
All I can say is, He is faithful and He takes care of His children. Our baby is 5 months now, and we are doing well.
My husband’s job is going to end in April. But I know there will be something else for him. My faith has grown so much.
My one encouragement to you: stay home with your baby.
Ask your Heavenly Father for the things you need. He has no problem providing!
